Why us

Why Us?

Driving instructors using eDriving Solutions web based products recognise the need to do more than just educate drivers in car handling.  eDriving Solutions provide its members with e-learning and e-assessment modules that will assist new drivers to develop a deep understanding of the issues that are likely to lead to crash involvement and help them to evolve their own coping strategies to reduce the dangers these issues present.  These e-based modules will not only help new drivers to be safer on the road but will also help prepare them for both the theory and practical driving tests.

Members can now access the Official DSA Theory Test Question Revision Bank and Hazard Perception Test (HPT) practice clips.

eDriving Solutions have developed a number of e-learning modules to enable driving instructors and pupils to understand and deal with issues that are not always covered in normal driving lessons.  If you would like to try some of these e-learning modules for yourself please click on Try a Taster.  The issues covered in these modules include:

Peer Pressure

The biggest influence on young people's decision making is their circle of friends.  Frequently this peer pressure affects a young person's decision making process.  It is important that a young driver understands and knows how to deal with these pressures.

Fatigue

Young drivers are highly susceptible to fatigue.  It takes time for even simple driving tasks to become automated, which means that the level of concentration required from a new driver is very high. This linked to the natural need of young people to have more sleep and the normal evening activities undertaken by young people leads to high levels of driving fatigue.

Distractions

When young drivers pass their driving test they have to deal with lots of distractions.  This together with their need to concentrate more due to lack of automation contributes to their high risk of crashing.  It is important for the newly qualified driver to develop coping strategies to deal with distractions.

We all know about the issues above but how many of these issues are discussed in any depth on normal driving lessons?  If young novice drivers are not made aware of these issues then they will not be ready to deal with them once they are solely responsible for the decisions they make.

However, the driving world today is more challenging than ever, therefore we at eDriving Solutions are committed to developing materials that will not only help driving instructors to incorporate new teaching methods into their instruction, but also help novice drivers and their parents to develop their knowledge and understanding of what it takes to be a safe driver.
